Default '99.5 taillights on '96 car.

I'm thinking of switching my original taillights (96-98 taillights) out for the 99.5+ taillights.
I've heard there would be some wiring modification involved, is it easily done or what?
If someone could give me some instructions it would be great.

HEY DOCURLY so you have the sport struts on h&r race springs? Does it ride good, should i do this? I only plan on lowering the car an inch or so. Can i do this with my stock sport struts?
