Default '99 A4 New key

Hi All,

Just purchased my first audi, a V reg 99 A4 tdi. Loving every bit of it so far. I am looking to get a replacement key for it as the one that came with it is falling apart and running low on battery. However the local audi Garage want to charge me £150+vat for this! is there a cheaper way of getting a new Audi key?

Stu

not really... they have to custom cutt the key and program it, so 150 sounds about right...

Look on ebay you can find keys on there and if you look closely you will find one guy that will cut a key for you if you send him a picture of the key (ands yes I have had mine done).

You will then need to have the key programmed for the immobilizer providing you’re in the Europe which will cost around £25.
