Default Difference between 1999 A4 and2001 A4

Hi I am currently looking at 1999 A4 and i noticed that the 2001 models have 20 more horsepower than the previous years, is this because it is a diffrent engine? and how easy would it be to gain that extra 20hp?

you would be better off spending the money on a good chip upgrade rather than changing the turbo. You should be able to get a chip to push your bhp up to 190 easily.Ithink the B6 K03 sport turbo also has bigger injectors but i might be wrong.

The chip upgrades raise the hp on the older motor by more hp than on the newer motors so you end up with closer to the same output. Something like 200hp for the older motor and 208hp for the newer motor. Take a look at the giac or apr websites for output figures for each chip.
