Ive noticed the 1.8T is quite popular but what about the V6 models(2.8)?
Are there are any real disadvantages with V6`s other than a higher fuel consumption? Higher insurance? Also ive read about some of the 1.8T problems that might occur do those apply to the V6 models also? Anything that should be in the back of my head when buying a 2.8? Im thinking of getting one with around 80,000km(50000 miles). Thanks for any input ![]() Last edited by Key222 : 06-11-2006 at 10:58 PM. |

you're right, lower fuel mileage.
it's heavier and less nimble in the twisties. there are fewer aftermarket performance parts so ultimately you can get more power out of the turbo motor. still, in stock form, the 180hp V6 is a very nice engine in the A4 the 1.8T motor has its own distinct set of potential problems. VB |
