what would it cost to replace a 1.8t engine?

does ne1 know what it would cost for a used engine to replace a blown one in a 97 a4?

If you are after a new engine supplied by Audi you are talking big bucks between $1500-$2500 just supply only-not fitted.
You would be best to look around us ebay or maybe get the old engine rebuilt or look for a car that has been crashed at a salvage yard and get the engine out of that.
It all depends how much money you want to throw at it.

Also it depends where you live and what you have done to your car..

Ie here in the UK you can get a 97 1.8T for about £2k - £3k..
