Jim

Thanks for that, however, when it does drop below that temp, do you know how much of a difference it makes, eg, how long does it take??

Thanks

You can tell by looking at your options sticker located either in the front of your Maintenance Manual (not Owner's Manual) or in the trunk. The option codes are sets of three letter/number combinations - not all letters or all numbers.

My 99.5 Avant has heated mirrors and the option code is: 6XD

There are lots of option codes for heated mirrors, many start with a 3.

If you email me your option codes I can look them up.

We have lots of foggy, rainy cold mornings here in Oregon in the winter (35-40F) but almost no snow or really freezing weather. My mirrors clear in less than two minutes and the manual says: "The outside mirrors are automatically heated when the ignition is switched on."
