Well I've done all of the searching I could prior to posting this, and I just can't seem to come to a conclusion.
1. What torque will the stock clutch handle? 2. What will it take to handle the ~250 ft/lbs once I chip the car? 2. Are the S4 or RS4 clutches drop in on the 1.8T? 3. How to avoid getting a "grabby" kevlar clutch to handle additional torque? Thanks! |

If all I planned to do was to chip my B5 A4TQM, I would stick with a stock clutch. As you are probably aware, performance cltuches can handle a significant amount of additional torque (in most cases for less or the same $) but significantly affect driveability.
S4 and RS4 run different engines, so not sure of clutch/drive train compatability with our macines anyway... |
