well ive got 2 DSMS a 93 eagle talon TSI AWD (about 400hp my daily driver) and a 92 GVR4 which is my project drag car(with the plans was going to be over 700hp) but thinking about selling them both and moving out of my parents house and on my own... so i want to get rid of both of my cars...
im looking for something good in snow (awd) something with some power or something i can do a few things to. so i figured an audi ! try something new and a bit more luxury...

now my questions.. so far from what ive been reading an A4 1.8T awd manual is probably what im looking for... an S4 would be nice but probably really expensive insurance and not as good of gas mileage. i drive about 75 miles on the interstate every day to get to work.

now my questions are....
how far can i take the 1.8T while still being really reliable?

whats estimated gas mileages on the 1.8T compared to a 2.8 or 2.7?

and will an audi impress me if done right?

im a big fan of doing suspension and motor upgrades... also will be doing a 5.1 surround sound in the audi with my double din Alpine touchscreen and some other goodies ive got.

what are some websites to look at suspension parts motor parts chips standalones ETC. id get an AEM EMS but i dont think they make them for audi's.

the 1.8T has alot of potential the engine is made for boost but not power, the engine has a fatal flaw and its the connecter rods, they can only take about 400hp so ur gonna have to upgrade them if u want to get some real power

to be honest if u get quattro the handling will impress you but not the power

I agree with AllWheelGrip, forget about the Audi going really fast, but the quattro and feel of the car is superb.

Here are some links to Audi performance parts (some of the links may wrap to a second line so you might have to cut and paste). This is a quick copy of my bookmarks so not sure if you might find some non A4 Audi stuff, or some avant specific links since I have a '99 avant.
