My first post to the Audi forum, hello
I'm looking for an Audi A4 2.8 Quattro, around 1997-1998, 100k miles, manual gearbox, and am wondering what to look for when I go to view the cars.
I'm a die hard Mk1 Toyota MR2 nut, and am used to looking for rust and sticking calipers etc.., but these aren't things that are going to be a problem on the Audi.
I'm after the black cloth sports trim, as 10 year old leather is rarely in good condition.
Obviously I'll check the bodywork, joints/seams, all the electrics, coolant, oil, service history, brakes etc... but I was wondering if there is anything specific that is a problem area on the B5 Audi?
Had a search for buyers guides on the internet but haven't been able to come up with anything.
Many thanks,
Jon
