Loss Of Power

Hi this car is getting to be a headache. It lost all power about 6 months ago for a day. Feels like turbo has failed put foot down it still goes but like a tractor for acceleration. Have cleaned fuel system disconnected the MAS to see if that would improve nothing. Problem was intermittent I.E if went over 80 MPH you would feel a slump in power and would remain like that till you stopped and restarted engine. It has been serviced regular. Now though it drives ok but got no vooomph please help

u might have a boost leak the the problem is where

Hi

we have a 1998 1.9tdi and had similar probs about 12 months ago. Checked for vacuum leaks, didn;t have any. Replaced the turbo but still had the same problems. Had the injectors cleaned and refurbished but got them back and still the same problem

Sent the injectors back as they have 2 stage opening (i think) and when cleaned and refurbished they only did the first stage and not both. So got them back after cleaning/refurbishing 2nd stage and car was brilliant.
