New Owner Chip? Stage Clutch?

Hello I just purchased a 1998 Quattro A4 1.8T. Being A normal do-it yourselfer
I was wondering if a clutch was something I could handle myself ? I was thinking of putting a chip in (195hp) what would be a good clutch to use ? How long should I expect to set a side for the clutch? I used to work at a saturn / dodge dealer so I am famillar w/domestic repairs.

for a chip u dont really need to upgrade the clutch though
i see alot of people goin with South Bend
