about 2 weeks ago, i took my car to get new tires. I noticed that my oil was low, so i had them change the oil at the same time. today, i'm driving home and the oil light comes on, beeping three times, staying on for about 30 seconds, then turns off, then repeats. i was wondering if perhaps the mechanic forgot to reset some internal computer that is used to tell you when you need a new oil change? am i right on that or totally wrong? any advice will help. thank you

You might want to have that problem checked out by your dealer. Apparently, the 1.8T engine is prone to Oil Sludging. One indicator is when the Oil Warning light comes on when there is plenty of oil. This could be serious. Recently Audi came out with an extended warrantly for this engine. My suggestion is to check this out before your engine goes!

Just in addition to Skip's comments, Audi recommends the use of synth oil on this engine as well.
