Keyless Entry

I bougth a used 99 A4 2.8 Quattro 6 months ago, It only came with a regular (light) key. I would like to buy a keyless entry key, but how do I know if it is going to work with the car.

I checked the manual and it says that the car could come with both. Is there a way that I could know besides an Audi dealer? A place were I could give the VIN #?

you can call Audi and they can run your vin to see what options your car came with
