i'm not posh, the wife is though!!
The dogs a real un. He's my boy, only does what i tell him!! P¦sses the wife off no end!! I was happy for all of a few minutes until the light bulb thing and the sensor being a 2003 addition!! Phoned an Audi garage 200miles away to find out how much an 'Inlet Sensor Valve' would be. All they said was 'What!' I'm worried now. How would I find out if the light has been removed? How easy is it to getin behind the dash? Just thought that the light comes on when you switch on the car, then goes out when you turn the engine over, does it not?? As i was writing this, I called the garage to have a go. They've changed the name of the part to a Crank Case Breather Intake valve??This is what was causing the Lambda sensor to shut down?? We'll see when I get the car back, minus the dent they put into the door! Was reading the loaner car's handbook and I was surprised to read that Bluetooth equipment not fitted by AQudi may cause problems to the electronics! I bow down at the feet of the Fatbloke. He is good, very good. Was enjoying the weather over the weekend, had a barbie and lots of beer. It got to 28C in the back garden!! Almost bought a new telly 50" plasma (bit of an arguement with the missus, she wanted smaller!!) and thrashed the hell out of the loaner to see what it was like. It still has impressive acceleration in 6th. Not Like the S1 though. Have a good one South |

Stripped the instument console out of the car last night to see if the had removed the bulb!
Found that the light itself is a solid state illuminating transistor which you can't remove. It was a bit of a ***** to get at. Had to dig out my Tork screwdrivers!! All seemd ok with the 'bulb'. The car seems to be running ok, but who knows. Still trying to find out if the Emissions light should light up when you turn the ignition key to the first mark. If not then I'll be pleased otherwise, I'll get an independant to look at it and see. Could have sold it last night, but put the guy off until August. Need the car until then so I can get around. Didn't tell himn about the problems though Have a good day Spannerman. I'm off at 12 to drive to Glasgow to see U2. Southstand |

I've just got 'outside' and was really hoping to hear how you were gettin on with the motor. They wouldnt give me internet access, in fact they wouldnt give me access to any sharp objects.I was tellin them all about my mate South with an obedient dog, posh wife, Audi estate and who could get 32mpg from his motor and how he had a dahsboard light problem that FATBLOKE couldnt fix, no no FATBLOKE fixes everything.....everything.........he fixed my subwoofer he did........... and how mechanics were leavin pickle and crumbs on your car seat. Alas, they never listened to me Anyway, the medicines workin fine. Cheers Spanner ![]() |
