My 2001 Audi A4 1.8T has a turn signal problem recently:
sometime the turn signal indicator/lights, both left and right, stop blinking. The indicator light on dashboard lights up solid. The bulbs should be fine since the emergency signal works fine. Any idea? flasher? relay? or loose wires? battery? I may end up going to dealers, but want to have a general idea what might go wrong.

THANKS!

I have the same problem and received advise from this board that it may be a relay problem. I purchased a new relay for $33, received it today and plan on installing it tonight. I'll post my results tomorrow morning.

BTW: The relay for the flashers is the same relay for the 4-ways.

Here's a link to the part:

Keep in mind that this is for a 2001 A4 2.8 Quattro.

The relay switch did the trick - took about 10 minutes.

check to see if your hazard lights work first. If not pull the harzard switch casing out (i used a screwdriver or can use paint can opener) then pull apart from the wiring harness then put back together it might just need to reset itself. This ust happened to me a month ago.
