Rs4 Vs S4

Could someone tell me what the 2000 RS4 has that the 2000 S4 doesn't? Plus, is the RS4 only available in Europe? Any help would be appreciated.

WHICH S4 ARE YOU COMPARING WITH THE RS4 (THE 2.7 BI-TURBO OR THE 4.2 V8).
THE RS4 IS A 2.7 BI-TURBO LIKE WHATS FITTED TO THE PRE 2001 S4'S. BUT IT HAS HIGHER HORSE POWER DUE TO BIGGER TURBOS AND INJECTORS WITH GREATER FLOW ETC. WHERE AS THE 2000 ON WARDS S4 HAS THE 4.2 V8 NON- TURBO.

BY THE WAY NOT SURE IF ONLY AVAILABLE IN EUROPE. BUT I DO KNOW THEY ARE ONLY AVAILABLE IN AVANT MODELS.

yeah, I'm comparing the 2000 S4 bi turbo with the 2000 RS4. I'm kinda lookin to make my S4 into an RS4, without making it avant, just everything else.

Hello
The S4 - 2.7 V6 Bi Turbo has "K03 turbos"

Where as the RS4 has bigger ones - "K04" 's

+ also bigger injectors etc...

PS- This is also the same difference between the TT 180bhp (K03) & 225bhp(K04)
(except 1 turbo- obviously)

The S4 2.7tt has 265 bhp,RS4 has 380bhp.The Rs4 engine was developed by Cosworth and has a far superior head design with performance cams,larger higher flow intake system,K04 turbos (as already stated),freer flowing exhaust and bigger inlectors.
But it doesnt stop there.The suspension is much stiffer and better damped for improved handling.The brakes are huge,360mm rotors up front compared to the S4 with ≈330mm.
And yes,it only came in an Avant.The USA never received the RS4,most of the rest of the world did.Here in NZ we have about 20 or so,with a similar number in Australia.It is Audis highest performance road vehicle ever produced.Slightly more so than the RS6!
