Bov Question!

I heard BOV removes the turbo lag... Is it true?
Does it add Extra horse power?

Also what would happen to Tiptronic Audi?

I have S4 00 Tiptronic and I dont like loud psssssshin sounds but I kinda like very softly wooshin~ sounds... Do you think its worth it?

If it only helps making sounds, I don't want to spend money but if it increases any performance of my S4, I am looking forward to spend it.

Can you all please help me out with your BOV info? I don't know anything about S4. I bought it 6 months ago...

I'm pretty new to the message boards myself but I've been reading about and working on audis for a few years now and i can tell you I have a 2000 S4 6speed. Now the only place that i could suggest a BOV would be from LLTEK, however the car comes stock with BOSCH Diverter Valves which are prone to be damaged easily with almost any mod to increase horsepower. If you don't like The PSSH sound i would just recommend a better Diverter Valve from Forge Motorsports or Stratmosphere. I myself have the Forge DVR with the Blue spring and with my stage 2 they are working great. You don't get the Loud air escaping because it diverts it back into the intake. New diverter valves increase throttle response most of all you may get some extra Hp but not a lot. With the tipronic if you decide to get a diverter valve or BOV the sound is going to bereduced than with the manual transmission. Make sure The BOV is compatible with the audi lean second to be adjustable to regulate the air going back into the turbos.
