I have a Audi 1.8T sport which is now lacking power and at around 5000 revs it seems to cut out like its hitting a rev limiter, but it should do upto 6500.
Aslo sometimes when i hit this limit when I change gear it tends to misfire.

Does anyone have any ideas what may be wrong?

I dont get any info from the display and all look to be ok from that.
I have been told it could be the Air Mass Meters and to uplug it to check.
If the cable is diconected and the car behaves the same it liley to be that.
But I cant find it on the car to check.

Just thought I'd update this thread and close it off.

I replaced the Air mas filter (MAF) at the weekend. And it has made all the difference. I've got power again and it revs the full range.

MAF cost me £50 money well spent. and 20 minutes to fit.
