 Hi new member, am second owner of my 99 A4 1.8T, bought w/ 28M miles, now 105,000M.
When engage throttle, there is a slight delay, then engine seems to catch at around 1500 RPM and all fine. Sometimes I hear (what to me sounds like valve "tink"). Seems to be getting more pronounced as my lady ages. 1500RPM to redline is smooth.
Car has always been maintained by dealer and I haven't changed anything except I run a K&N air filter and use strictly Synthetic oil since purchase.

Anyone have ideas? LE

my car dose that too, its becase we dont have much low end TQ. because all that is working is the 4 banger engine, untill like 3thousand RPM's, then the turbo helps out. get a chip and it will fix this problem.
