New To The Group

Hello All....

I just popped in for some opinions really and perhaps if all works out to be a more active member.

I am in the market for a car and am looking at a 1999 A4 1.8T Quattro mainly because of its AWD. I was wondering what to look out for in these cars? Do they have any known problem areas? Are they expensive to repair? The one thing I seem to hear over and over again is not to own one unless it has a warranty.

Now I know that everyone here is probably pretty pleased with their A4's but i'm just wondering if it is a strong car or do they inevitable cost a lot of money and everyone turns them over when they are four years old.
