Audi A4. registed 1995 is that helps identify model

So my temperature light has started coming on when i started engine today. I bought this car second hand so n manual. Look for free download of course.

The exact indicator is lloks like a thermometer. I am no mechanic so ... that's why I'm asking you

First thing to check is the radiator or anti-freeze/coolant level. Other possibility is that the thermostat that lets water flow through the engine no longer functions. Maybe the radiator fan does not function, maybe the water pump does not function.

Not sure how to test for all of those, sorry.
