ECS light and "DPF Sensor" issue?
I have a 2007 4.2TDI and just returned from a 3000 mile round trip to Spain. Whilst down there the Emission Control System(ECS) light came on (the yellow picture of an engine). This stayed on for a while until my first fill up and then went off but returned a while later and stayed on until the return trip where is remains out. This is where I need some help. When I turn the ignition on without starting the engine I’m left with just the seat-belt light and this ECS light which then goes out once I start the engine… is that normal?
Now, returning home I took the Q7 back into Audi so they could reset the adaptive headlamps back to UK driving so I asked them to give me the error code and clear it which they did FOC albeit not happy. The result was:
“Engine Electronics 2 DPF sensor bank 2 implausible signal intermittent”
Note, no other warning lights have come on during this period.
Should the ECS light stay on with the ignition on without starting the engine?
Should I ignore the above error code and wait for the EMC light to come on with the engine
So, should I be worried?
Thanks in advance for any help and advice
