Care when Jacking
Take care when using the front Nearside Jacking Point (Not sure if it is an official jacking point, but every tyre fitting workshop would use it) because located just behind the strengthened area are 2 pipes that belong to the Diesel Heater (carrying coolant) these are nicely hidden by a flimsy plastic cover which allows the rose of a workshop jack to be half on the jack point and half on the cover resulting in the pipes getting squashed. a smaller trolley jack from halfrauds does not cause a problem due to its smaller rose.
I am going to ask Audi Technical if there is a solution, but i suspect they will say the official body jack positions should be used. Even a label warning that the manufacturing points are not for jacking may deter the tyre fitter rupturing the pipes.
As i now have to change the pipe can anyone advise if there is alot of bleeding and is a full, or partial draint of the coolant system required. I have rear HVAC fitted so i am not sure if this issue only affects vehicles with this fitted .
