Drove this car today and loved the way it drives but I am worried about the build qulaity. Many owners have complained about brakes, rattling etc. Is it really that bad?? The car i saw is 2007 , 15k miles, so still got 1-2 years of warranty left.
I'd really appreaciate if forum members could give me some advice.
well first of all, the tires get worn out really quickly but you have to live with that because its a huge car. Sometimes the brakes can get a bit noisy but its easy to get fixed. Also, i noticed that there were a few rattles in the diesel models when i test drove them but there were not any in the petrol models. I advise that you get the 3.0 tdi if your cautious about money. If your not you might as well just get the 4.2 litres.
The tires seem more a problem on the 3.0 TDI. At least on my car I have 'normal' tire usage. Brakes...depend on the way of driving. Braking a 2,5 ton car alwyas costs...brakes and pads.
For the rest...great car.
