Default Retrofit of AMI and Bluetooth Phone Preparation

I'm new to the group so Hi.

I've been trawling through the group trying to get up to speed on what is possible - and at least I now know that both can be done. (Thanks BigLadUK, CraigyB and Richter Sport)

My problem is that I am in the central belt of scotland and I'm really looking for a trusted retrofit operation (incase anything goes wrong with MMI!!).

Can anyone suggest anyone up here or will I need to plan in a visit down south?

Thanks Craig

Out of interest how long do you think it would take *you* to do. I might be able to drop it off as part of another trip.

Darlington is about 160 miles south of me. Manchester is about 240/250.
I'd prefer to get it done in Scotland just incase there are any problems but it doesn't look likely at the moment.

Might give you a call if you are ok with that?

Barry

Around 1.5 hours for the install, as long as your cars MMI is upto date to support the AMI, has to be 3450/60 minimum. If not it will take another 30 mins or so for the MMI update.

I've just checked (using forum search - again) and the version is 4220.

I'll call you tomorrow and thanks for the reply.

Just wanted to bump in an update.

Just recently completed over 500 miles to go and get Craigyb to install AMI and SAP Bluetooth phone prep.

Perfect install.

Now I just need to find a phone that works with rSAP!!!

The wifes N95 works great, my Vodafone v1615 (TyTn2) connects but doesn't want to play ball with the phone book - grrr.

Anyway thanks Craigyb - excellent job.

Anyone want a v1615? :-)

Barry,

install JETware handsfree extension on HTC TyTn 2 and it will work like a charm....

I believe it works on many Windows Mobile phones...
