Q7 MMI Mutes every 5 seconds and on

We recently bought an Audi Q7; March 07 Reg.

Everything worked fine until 2 days back the MMI interface is playing up on the Radio and the CD interface. The display shows the Mute icon every 5 seconds and then disappears playing the music again.

When we try going into Setup for any option it won't allow us to do anything just brings back to the previous menu.

we tried reseting using the option mentioned on the http://www.audi-forums.com/audi-q7-f...d-working.html thread... but absolutely no luck.

We tried going into the Tel option only to notice that this is totally hung up. Is there a possibility that this option is killing interface.

Any ideas???

Forgot to mention.. we fitted the Cobra Tracker system week before this issue started...

See the thread about MMI having dementia - I have the same problem, seems like its common enough, probably down to a problem with the phone system which is affecting the radio and media functions. Contact your dealer...
