Default Audi MMI has dementia

Over the past 4 weeks my MMI developed a stuttering radio, the CD refuses to respond Nav wont take instruction, she won't listen to me, Telephone lost.
Crewew Audi took it in promptly but tell me it is an aerial amp issue. Is it possible for an aerial amp to cause all these problems?

This issue is usually the phone controller, a known issue. Replace the phone controller with a revision K and all is well.

I had this exact same problem and it turned out to simply be a recoding in the correct order.

Had your Q7 had anything done too it by the dealer just before this started happening ?

Mine had just been in to have the Nav Drive unlocked so I could remove the disc....when it returned I had all the problems your describing....they first though it was a faulty phone module ( hence the other person not being able to hear you ) then a faulty mic then I took it to another dealer who recoded it and all was fine.

You have a point -- they did, a few weeks earlier they had fiddled with the hanbrake warning light -- it was staying on. The car is fitted with blue lights and sirens (3rd party -- ambulance service) but that ws 1 year ago.

Thanks, I will suggest it -- I wonder ifthis revision will sort out the Bluetooth integration issues? DO you have any experience of this?

Plenty, and yes upgrades of the phone module software do fix certain issues, but we have no documentation on what it fixes. I think the current software is K or even J for the phone module.

Sorry for the delay replying.
You were spot on -- they had messed witht hephone mmodule beforehands - problems interminable -- have had the car for 1 week in the last 4 -- New ECU + Phone Module due back this week I hope.
I'm beginning to lose confidence.

Have you got the sunroof as the drains block and water ingress builds in the rear quarters where most of the infotainment control units live(sound system, radio and voice control)telephone control unit is under the drivers seat.Does the vehicle start ok in the morning as it sounds like the bus system is in sleep mode.Try to post the fault codes from the selfdiagnosis log (if audi have given you a copy)
