Default q7 experiences

I am looking to buy a Q7 but keep on being put off by reviews which always concentrate on the size. My last car was a Touareg which I had no problems with ( very occasional parking probs). Has anyone owned both cars and how do they compare?

You need to test drive the Q7 and they are in a differant league to the boxy vw.Look at the Q7 FORUM it may give you some idea of the overall satisfaction of the owners.Best regards Jon

Well as I understand it the Q7 and Touareg and the Cayanne are all made in the same factory and based on the same something.

If you have the Touareg then the Q7 will simply be longer but not massively.

I guess people keep talking about it's size because it's a 7 seater SUV and inside is massive but I really don't feel it's massive when I'm driving it.

Thanks. That is what I was getting at really. Test drives are OK but living with the thing is the question. I mentioned the Touareg as this is my personal experience of 4x4s.

Well if you like the Touareg then the drive of the Q7 is better IMO.

We have had ours for 6 months now and love it

We have 4 children TBF so needed a 7 seater.

Well I have just brought a Audi Q7 3.0 TDI Limited Edition Tiptronic collecting Friday this week, did not test drive as my wife has the Touareg and other than the ride I am very impressed, we have four kids and needed a 7 seater (used to have an XC90), I know its big but its certainly looks no wider than a Touareg and looks smaller than a Range Rover, I still think its the nicest 4 x 4 on the road and MPG seems no worse than any other 4 x4 even slightly better than most, I hope to average 25-28, are most of you generally very happy with the car.

I have had mine for about 5 months and i am more than pleased.

I do agree it is a massive car and parking sometimes needs alot of experience. However, as most people have mentioned, driving it dosen't seem big at all.

A friend saw my 'Q' the other day and said " does this you car grow?"

All i can say is..... enjoy it while it lasts....

Well had my q7 now for 2 days, its very special indeed, may be the best made car I have ever owned, couple of things that could be better, teh foldong mirrors cant be folded unless you stop or very slow, a pain, and I wish I had choosen a MP3 interface, does anyone know if its availabe as afterfit from the dealer?

Still feel a bit guilty over its size, mpg seems quite good about 24-26 about town which I am sure will get a bit better once its done some miles, but if anyone reads this, dont ever let anyone tell you they are big to drive, because they are easy to drive and certinly easier than any RR or LR I have ever driven.

Don't worry about the size, it is easy driven vehicle and my opinion is that is the best SUV in the market.Listen ,you have practice in parking... all the other is very easy! Enjoy!
