Unhappy Q7 vs Ford Mondeo

Hi all,

Just thought i would update you with my latest woo.

Shopping in Sainsbury’s - when i got a call over the loudspeakers to return back to my car.

Some one has hit my beloved... Luckily the other driver stuck around and gave me their details, would have cried harder if they had driven off. They were pulling into the parking space next to mine, loads of room in the mother and child section you would have thought!!!

Ford mondeo vs. Audi Q7.

Q7 needs a new rear ns door and possibly rear wing replacement, alloy and rubber trim seal in the door jam.

Ford needs a new wing, bonnet, driver’s door and a new front bumper.

Oh what a pain in the ass. And guess what the insurance company gave me as a replacement on like for like basis….

Porsche Cayenne S - 4.8ltr V8 petrol – what a piece of crap! I’ve been driving it for 2 weeks now and I can’t wait to get back in to the Q7.

The Porsche is fast, no low down gut churning pull but gets to 60 in about 6 seconds, and will pass everything on the road. But has an average COMBINED fuel consumption of 16mpg!!! You feel every bump in sports mode but the normal drive mode is a lot nicer but still harsh on the throttle. Sooooo much power it is great fun to drive. No toys though, no auto windscreen wipers, it doesn’t have auto head lights, and only a single CD drive. £55k car but you pay a lot for the name and the engine.

The Nav system screen – nice and large, but it is so low in the dash you’re looking down at it all the time. Eyes are drawn miles away from the road and the angle is such that is feels flat and you’re peering down from the top all the time.

It doesn’t have half the road presence as the Q7 and it’s so much smaller. No auto opening boot – that’s lovely on the Q.

At least in the Q7 3ltr TDI you can feel the pull, with a smooth and balanced drive. Our Nav screen is just right not too far from looking at the road, and easy to look at.

Please hurry up Audi and get me my parts in – I cant wait to get beck into driving her.

Regards to all.

I always have that question! The interior in Cayenne is better than Q7?
Thanks you answered to my question!
