I picked up my Q7 4.2 TDI yesterday. WOW it is so different from the 3.0 tdi, so much power, totally effortless!! Will take pics and post them asap. Supremely comfortable. I read the Auotexpress article on it yesterday and it mentioned a 'STIFF RIDE' true its not as wallowy as the Discovery that I had before the Q7 but it isstill, I feel, a very comfortable ride. To get the handling and speed, the suspension needs to be stiffer.. Info

Dear MagnumNo I never did drive the V10, the pics are coming but unfortunately I have to work today, my uncaring boss would'nt give me the day off to play with my new toy. Typical woman!! (Take cover!!) Just a little note on the dealership. I have been lucky enough to have bought a number of 'Prestige' cars in the past, Mercs (Bristol) BMW (bristol) etc and although they were pleaseant enough to deal with, although the BMW were a little stuffy, I have to say that the guys at CARDIFF AUDI have been exceptional, really friendly efficient, no aggresive selling and so patient with me. The atmosphere in the new showroom is excellent, very open and airy. Considering I went to them with a view to buying an RS4 AVANT, I ended up road testing the RS4, the S6 and finally the 3.0TDI Q7. I could probably have test the R8 but I didn't want to push my luck!!. Honestly, it is worth travelling a little bit to get that sort of attention. If I was living in say Swansea or Bristol - Bath (although Audi in BAth is now operated by the same people as Cardiff and I believe they are building a new showroom), I would travel to Cardiff to buy an Audi. Hopefully, I will be able to post pics on Monday. Regards Info

So far its brilliant, absolutely effortless driving, extremely responsive, supremely comfortable, the panoramic sunroof really brightens up what could otherwise be a quite dark interior with the S line Black Verona Leather. Just one niggle, it wouldnt start on WEdnesday when I wanted to get home from work. Audi Call Out Technician diagnosed a possible faulty Battery not holding its charge. As ever the Audi people in Cardiff doing somersaults to get me back on the road. As I write, my car is getting the full treatment at Cardiff Audi, full diagnostic test, they have fitted a new battery and are testing the old one to see whether it was faulty or if something in the cars electrical circuitry was causing the fault. They have given me a new 3.0TDI to use in the meantime. I should get my car back. I must say that after driving the 3.0 all day yesterday and covering about 300 miles, I am glad I went for the 4.2. It is more responsive than the 3.0 although fuel economy suffers with the 4.2. I will let you know what Audi find when I know. Regards Info
