Anyone else ordered a 4.2TDI?

Still not got any firm details of build week and exact delivery date. My dealer is a little lacking in information. Will call them today.

Did you get offered any 4.2TDI specific options? Like the B&O sound system? I didn't and seem to know more about what will be available at sometime in the future than the dealer.

Just gave them a call. No build week yet. Looks like it's going to be July delivery for me.

No Magnum I wasn't offered the B&O system, I wish it was available as I would have probably gone for it, price permitting!!

If your dealer ordered it early April, I would have thought the build time would be about the same time as mine. My dealer ordered mine at the same time as he ordered his for demo stock for the Launch on 23/06/07. He would obviously have to have it in before that date so that his guys can familiarise themselves with it.

I am fortunate enough to have a great dealership near us, the staff there are great and the dealer principle is very 'Hands-On'

By the way Magnum, have you managed to get any insurance quotes for the TDI?

Some of the quotes I have been getting range from £650 - £1100 for S,D & B use. At the minute my best quote although its for the petrol V8 is fro Marks & Spencer, they are quoting about £450, they cannot offer me a quote of the TDI yet as its not on their system but I cannot see it being much more than the petrol!. They said they would ring me on Monday next with a TDI price.

Yep, noticed it yesterday, but the bloody thing keeps telling me there's a conflict

Just spoke to my dealership and they tell me that my car is 'IN BUILD' and I should have it week commecing 4th June. Hoping to collect it 6th JUne.

Will post pics when I get it.

Just thoght I would let you know about my latest insurance quote for my 4.2 tdi. H.S.B.C have quoted £530 including business use and wife to drive. Cheapest by far.

Hi Magnum

Just had an e-mail from dealer, Car has arrived in the UK, being taxed Tuesday (05/06/2007) the tracker is being fitted on Wednesday AM and I will be picking it about 4pm that afternoon!!!!
