Default Light condensation

I was just wondering if any one is having problems with excessive condensation inside thier headlights. My Audi dealer tell's me it is normal. But I have been checking other Q7's and they do not appear to have the problem.

Hi Dazrob.

I did have a little bit of condensation, at first and i was anoyed as well. But since i have managed to clear out our Garage and put her away at night i've not had any more problems with it.

I can't see how it can be normal though the lights should be sealed.

Regards

Richard

Hi Dazrob
Picked up my Q7 last friday and have alos noticed condensation in the headlights. Hav'nt been back to the dealer yet. My last Audi was an Allroad and this did the same when i first had it but did clear after a couple of months. My feelings are that with a 3 year warrenty the worst that can happen is that the lights corrode and need to be replaced.

I haven't noticed any problems in the few months I've owned mine but like Bungle, mine is kept in my garage over night so maybe it just doesn't get cold

When steam cleaning stay away from light units as they arnt 100% sealed so heat from gas discharge lights can escape so condensation can enter causing the depositsSet mmi to day time running lights, this should dry out the light units with no effort. This is just an observation made from dealing with this complaint on A6,A4 and Q7.
