gateway 500

I have been reading as much as i can about fitting the Gateway 500 into a Q7 and am a little confused about what is displayed on the MMI. I am having the unit professionally fitted, however this will be the first one they have fitted into a Q7 . Am i correct in thinking that the IPOD will work, however the song tittles may not be visible on the MMI. I understand that this can be resolved but have not been able to find anyone who has managed to get full functionality through the MMI. The unit is being fitted teh day after tomorrow so any advice would be much appreciated.

I've seen the GateWay 500 in action and read alot about it too.

There are loads of screen shots around but I've added a few for you below.







The 500 will display the track names and give you control via MMI of the IPod allowing you to select Tracks, Artists, Albums etc.

I would have had the Gateway 500 fitted by now but in my opinion it's not as good for IPod integration as the AMI system ( Audi Music Interface ).

If you want to do something with Video then I guess the GateWay is an option
