A further update. Car has now left the factory.
Should be at the dealer by the weekend. If all goes well we should be able to pick up early next week. Why is it when you're looking forward to something and counting the days it seems to be taking forever! The wait is killing me

the wait will be worth it, the finish in the Audi is superb and the car is even better than i thought it would be.

How are you finding the re-map, any extra smoke out the exhaust, whats the fuel consumption like (better worse or same as).

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ed,

The re-map is great, the Car seems quicker to respond in the normal Drive mode, and Sports mode is just fantastic! For such a heavy car you can really throw it about.

I’m getting Mid 30's on the run home from the office M25 J10 to M3 J4 - even with all the roadworks.

I can’t say I’ve seen any smoke, even with heavy acceleration, but I’ll have a look out. I haven’t had a chance to run a few tanks from full to empty and calculate a MPG myself, just relying on the onboard, but i will do over the next few weeks and let you know how many miles I’m getting from a full tank etc.

Great color btw, I’ve seen one nr me as well as the Red – which I’m not sure on, but the blue is sweet. Did you get the 21” rims?

Regards to all

Richard

Hi all, another newish member to the group. Really interested in all the chatter going on regarding the ECU remap. I own a 3.0 TDI S-Line in Mugello Blue and I am considering having it Re-mapped, but would like to know the pro's and the con's. Am I right in assuming you no longer replace the chipset. Somebody mentioned in an earlier post that it doesn't invalidate the warranty, but I cannot see how. Is it something that can be accidentally re-set back to factory settings if the car goes back to the dealer?
A lot of questions, I know, but it would be great to get some answers.

Thanks

Mark

Hi newbie here - just interested in BigladUk's (or anyone elses) view on how the privacy glass looks in different light. The (great) pics posted make the contrast with the drivers window very marked - is it really that dark up close. What is vis like from inside? About to order 3.0 TDI in Australia and thinking about the privacy glass given it can be sunny now and again!! Any views appreciated.

Welcome,

The privacy glass is very dark but from the inside it doesn't appear dark. I bought the glass for the sunny days ( we have a drop down screen ) and for privacy.

The difference between the front and back windows is marked...Although I like that some don't and add a graduated tint to the fronts.

I guess my view is I'm England and I had tints for the sun, if your in Oz then surely it's a no brainer

Si
