Just received a kit for repairing the air compressor on my 2003 Allroad. After repairing compressor I'll be installing two new front air springs. Pretty good life expectancy at 99K miles.
Installed new kit, compressor runs fine and is very quiet. Two problems. Broke off one of the two cylinder head bolts. Went to machine shop to have them insert helicoil, problem fixed. The other issue was not being able to unplug power cord to compressor motor. Had to cut wires and splice.
