Audi allroad ForumAll the traditional Audi strengths of quality and comfort are present in the Allroad. It's an extremely well built and spacious car with some extra versatility over a standard estate. (Audi Allroad Forum)
I am a little worried about the longevity and durability of the 2.7t motor. If all of you who own '01 or '02 allroads could do me a favor and post the current mileage of your cars, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Wow, over 100 views and no responses. This forum is really one of non participation.
You're spot on about that,
Can't comment much on 2.7t, as I own diesel one, but was always curious about petrol engines on Allroads. I suppose if its been looked after well, you should be able to run it past 200k miles problem free.
Mine is at 174k at present and had to do some work on it, first owner was doing 20k between services since new, and I think that had impact on engine wear. What mileage yours at?
Thanks for responding. I actually decided on a 2004 BMW X5 4.4 V8. I need for vehicle to tow a jet ski on occassion and the mileage is quite decent. I felt the X would suit this need better and give us a little more interior seating room as well.

Having just joined I thought I would bolster your thread by saying my 2.7T has done 89k miles, and I have fitted a tow bar recently to drag my 1.5 tonne exhibition trailer, which it does without knowing its there. Regular servicing is essentiel, mark you.
I have a 2003 ar 2.7T auto with 72K miles. I'm the second owner; purchased it with 45K miles in July, 2007.
Good engine, runs great, but a pure bred. Have replaced the cam seals, valve cover gaskets, and transfer case/drive shaft seal. Changed out the timing belt/water pump/breather hose at 66K miles. Also replaced both front air bags and cv boots.
Had it chipped (stage 1) and removed the resonator, now +300 HP and it flies with lots of fun.
2003 Allroad, w/ almost 110k miles. Have owned it for only 6 months and ready to do major servicing on it, close to 4,500, at an indy shop (timing belt, front control arms, brakes, torque converter, front air suspension - replacing it with arnott II gen). It has been serviced regularly and even with all the problems that it currently has, you can tell it's a very well built car.
2003 2.7. 135,000.
Half the year in Tampa, half in Big Horn Mountains, and in between twice a year.
Major issues: air suspension twice, ruptures maybe from lots of miles on gravel & mountain roads (in the latest instance, discovered Arnott's, and a good indy shop, thankfully) ; engine block$$$ replaced by Denver dealer.
Thing is, if you look after car, it will last way past 200.
Then if you run it without any bigger repairs till it pops I doubt you'll get near 200k.
After 100k all cars need more or less work done to keep them in good shape..
My neighbour was wondering the other day if his Astra would last him another 50k? (it only has 50k now). He could not beleave my car being younger has 3 times more miles on the clock.
