Default 2002 allroad front oxygen sensor

Is is much of a job to replace the right front oxygen sensor in my 2002 Allroad? The dealer wants $521.

You may want to call the parts dept at the dealer and ask what the price for the O2 sensor is. Then you can find out how much the labor is. From my observation it does look like a huge pain in the asss. When I get on my other computer I'll look at the manual and see what it says.

The job looks fairly easy.

Looked like the manual wanted you to take the cat off the car to change the sensor, but with the right wrench, it appeared accessible from the back of the engine compartment. Since I didn't have the wrench and no place to work inside out of the snow, I had a local shop replace it - $192 part, $105 labor.

Not a bad price considering you didn't have to suffer through the cold
