Retrofit of Tailgate Release for 2007 Allroad
Silly me ... just because I didn't include the 'all-singing, all-dancing' power-tailgate option on my new Allroad (Sept 07) ... I now have no way of releasing the tailgate from inside the car.
Audi maintain that I can always use the key ... even though this entails: stopping the car; putting the transmission in park; killing the engine; removing the key and then pressing the boot release button.
OK from outside the car, just not so practical from inside.
I don't really need the full swing open/close functionality but the ability to 'pop the trunk' is important to me.
The solenoids and actuator are obviously already installed; the 'switch' is available for nominal charge (£12); just not sure about whether the loom which is fitted is compatible.
Anyone ever tried to retrofit this feature?
