Hi folks,
I have an opportunity to prurchase a 2003 Allroad. I'm a bit worried with regards to finding replacement parts should the car develope problems. The car has 65K and it seems as though from cruising the forums that this is around the time problems seem to arrise. How easy is it to get parts for this car? I tend to do most repairs myself as long as it's not to complicated. Since it's no longer in production and not millions sold, would repair parts become extinct? If it wasn't for this worry the car would be in my driveway right now. Thanks Last edited by stonewall : 01-19-2007 at 07:29 AM. |

I should think you would have no problem soucing parts as the Allroad is based on the A6 chassis and running gear !!
Which engine do you have in yours ?? TDI/ 2.7 T ???

Thanks T-sport, for the response.
It is the 2.7T engine. So the body panels are the same as the A6 Avant? It looks like most items must be purchased directly from Audi dealer. Have you had any personal experience with the Allroad? I guess folks only post problems in the forum. It's a bit discouraging when all you see are problems posted. I plan to run this car as a daily driver and hope that it will give good reliability if I keep it well maintained. Last edited by stonewall : 01-21-2007 at 01:43 PM. |

I've owned a 2.7 T now for about 3 months and love everything about it, except is has a drink problem! If i'm really really nice to it, it will give me about 21mpg. Thats with the Tiptronic box and going through heavy traffic on my daily commute. On a run at 80-90 it will do about 24, which is still crap but relatively a relief on the wallet!!
Seriously it is a great car, but be aware that you need deep pockets. |

Hey Shrek,
Nice to here of your enjoyment. My commute is mostly highway around 55-65mph at round trip of 52 miles. My present car gives me 24mpg coughhhh Chrysler Concorde 1994 with 180,000 miles. I can't complain about it since I have no repaire costs except tires. I know it's days are numbered. After driving the allrorad it's all I think about. I've driven plenty of cars since the allroad test drive, Saab 9-5 Chrysler Pacifica, Nissan Murano, Subaru Outback. None are comparable to the looks/ride/rush that accompanies the allroad. I appreciate your comments. I'm still being apprehensive. However your comments have made me think a bit harder. |

I have an 03 Allroad 2.7 Bi-Turbo and like you I test drove a lot of vehicles. It's a very nice ride with some kick when asked. Very comfortable seats and I like the ride a lot. Changed out my tires recently and went with Goodyear Assurance Triple P225/55HR17's. Improved my ride and got rid of a slight intermittant steering wheel shutter. Very useful wagon and one of the best looking ones out there-if not the best!!

I to am considering a 2003 Silver 2.7T Tip. After reading all the comments about torque coverter, air-sus, turbo, ecu and tranny control ecu failures make me question my sanity in looking for one. I wonder what the actual % of failures are. Anyone have some stats or some actual reliability numbers?
Any leads out there for a 03(or +) manual. Just an FYI - the CPO warrenty in Canada is 2 yrs 40000k, in the US the CPO is 2 yrs 50000 miles. If you are importing a US CPO vehicle into Canada the warrenty is now 2yr/40000k. |

Hi 4wdsteve - Sorry, don't have any stats. I've had my 03 Allroad now for over a year and she has been great. Had to put on a new set of tires, and that's it. No other out of pocket expensives. I'm now off of the original warranty, so it will be a $50.00 charge max each visit - no more. So much better comfort than my short lived legacy LTD wagon. Just no room and cramped. The Allroad has really great seats and is very comfortable. Also has a good amount of pep. Could use another gear for highway travel and gas mileage. I'm not complaining as one can only go so fast in NY. A lot of mounties. Best looking wagon on the road. No problems with turbo, tranny, airbags. I'm happy with the car.
