I have an 2002 Alroad with 48,000mi. on it.
Was changing my oil today and Noticed that the rubber axel boot on the inside of the Front Passenger side wheel was cracked open and greece was spattered all over the inside of the wheel and Brake caliper. Just curious if anyone has experienced this ? Any rough ideas on the cost to repair ? I'm sure the rubber boot is cheap........but the labor to take everything apart to get to the boot probably ain't cheap.....Just curious. And How bad is it to drive like this before it gets fixed ? It looks like there isn't any greece left in the boot. I looked inside the crack on the boot and it looks pretty empty If anyone has any helpful info on this please reply. Thanks, Jeff - |

Cool...........Thanks a lot for the input.
I'm under 50k still......but I'm over 4 years, so the warranty is over. I just called a smaller european / Foreign repair shop..... They said $129 to put a new boot on......not too bad. Thanks again for the helpful input, Jeff - |
