Apparently, I have a bad microphone in my car meaning the voice commands and bluetooth are not available. The dealer first said there are multiple microphones, but the tech found the specific one. However, now I am hearing that there is only 1. In addition, they original thought the problem was the voice control module and supposedly they replaced it.
I am a bit sceptical of the quality of information from my service advisor though he is polite. Here are the questions that I have before my next visit. How many microphones are in the cabin of the car? The AudioPilot noise reduction would use one as well? Are they separate or combined? Hopefully, you see where I am headed.. |

Each mic is seperate. One mic is used for TEL and one for voice control and another for the sound system

As a follow up. The problem was the dealer being lazy. I contacted the General Manager and Audi Customer Care and they re-flashed software and called me to pick it up by noon the next day.
Just in case yall dont know, Audi corporate is very easy to reach and very responsive. Even given the extremely poor experience this time around, I am still happy with the brand and dont hate my local dealer. -T |
