Where is the TV tuner located?

Hi all,

I am looking to hardwire my ipod into the MMI system.

I don't want to go the several hundred pound route with an integrated module and think that I can use the AV inputs to the TV tuner conected to an ipod AV out cable.

Problem is, I can't locate the AV input connection. My car is a 2004 A8 and before I go dismantling the interior, I thought someone might know where it is located.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I should look?

You wont be able to see them as by default they are not there. Open up the panel on the left of the boot. TV tuner is located on the right hand side behind the radio module on the other side of the upright panel. You should remove the DVD navigation unit to get access.

The TV tuner has a 20 pin RED connector for power, AV1, AV2, AV output etc.

You will need to add the Aux input wires yourself , these are about 20 euros from ebay or kufatec.de
