Default Radio codes

Just got through changing my fuel pump and car works great. I unplugged the battery b4 touching the pump, but I did not know the car has a radio with a lock code. I bought the car used from a small dealer and the car did not include an owners manual or code for the radio. I figured out how to enter the code but it only gives me 2 tries then locks me out for a while. Other than taking the radio to the dealer, is there a way to retrieve the code? This is a 97 Audi a8 Quattro with stock radio. It is an Audi Delta radio/cassette with cd chnger and bose speakers.

if you have your service manual/maintnence manual, there should be a sticker in there that has a four digit code for your radio. after two tries the radio will lock out for an hour.in this case you must leave the radio on for one hour to try again. but if you dont have a manual, your going to have to go to an audi dealer.i payed $50 to have them give me my code.all they do is put your vin into their database and retrieve the code.if they cant do it that way, they will pull out the code and use the serial number on the back.try to get the serial number if you can and just try to call up a dealer and see if they can help you out.
good luck
