Hi all,can anyone tell me where the diagnostics plug is on my 98-A8.regards

Pop out the front ashtray and there is a cover underneath.Pop that out and there she lies

Further to this posting, i bought a trouble code reader from ebay and although i does display the codes found , i cant figure out how to turn off the service light. The little tool from Alphabid in the states just plugs into the diag. plug and should automatically turn it off , but after several tries- no luck. Anyone got any suggestions.

You will need vag com for this and you will need to enter dash insert adapition channel 05.Or nip to audi and ask them to clear the service light,that would be cheaper.

Thanks for that, i will give it a try although i cant see them turning it off without servicing the car,as i have never found the local dealer to be very helpfull in the past. Also someone told me that draper make a service light/airbag light reset tool, anyone ever used one?
