Question 2001 S8 wont start

Whilst driving home last night speedo n rev counter 'froze' but car continued to drive OK. This morning won't start and seems like engine not getting any fuel - EPS, Battery and what i assume is an 'check engine' - engine block symbol remain on dials - any thoughts?

Hi JiminBahrain, may be worth taking a look inside the electronics box on the left hand bulkhead for water ingress, a very weak area.
