New S8 ?

i was just wondering when the new s8 will be arriving i own a 2001 s8 and enjoy it greatly,but its been almost 4 years and bmw and mercedes are catching up ,why has it taken so long announce what the new one will have for specs,does any one out there have any info on this thx frank

Don't anticipate the the new S8 in the states until 2006. Last indications that I have heard is the 2006 model will have a modfied Lamorgini v10 engine that will produce 500Hp (needs to compete with the 2005 BMW M5). Talk to your A8 rep, they may have more definative information. Price is going to be approx $125,000 in the US.

You are thinking of the new RS6, I still haven't heard of a new S8 coming to the states at all.

Per my uncle, who is a finance director for Audi in Germany, has confirmed the S8 will once again be available on US shores, however there are delays and the arrival time my not be until late 2006.

the Robb Report did a nice article on it. the rear seats have recline and massage, you can also get a mini wine cooler too. sorry, didn't save the magazine but do remember it was $100 G's.
