Hello fellaz,

I'm eyeing to purchase a second hand 2002 1.8T A3 with tiptronic tranny. It's got 35 thou k's on the clock with service history (it's rare for 2nd hand cars to have service history down here in indonesia). My question is what should I look out for in general?
How's the 1.8T engine performance-wise and durability-wise? what are the major problems the car has in general?

The engines are strong but tip tronic trans have been reported to go wrong, manual is best !! Have a read of this http://www.audi-forums.com/b6-forum/...ear-shift.html
