Default Audi A3 dashboard problem

Hi

I believe this is now a common problem with the dash not working even though the car is running fine. Nor does the speedo work or gauges. The bizzare thing is it kicks in after a couple of hours of driving. Any suggestions? Somone mentioned that Audi may pay contributions to this as its now a common fault. Has anyone dealt with this through Audi? Its similar to the Volvo probs by going into limp mode and they were dealt with at cost through the distributors in the UK.

Thanks
