a3 1.6 to 1.8 turbo conversion

hi everyone,

this is my first post so forgive me if i seem a little clueless.

I have a 51 reg audi a3 1.6 sport.

Im looking to put the 1.8 turbo engine i have a few questions:

which engine is best for my conversion? golf engine? A3 engine? etc...

Are there any companies that do this? how much will it cost

I presume i will need, engine, box, shafts, loom, mounts, ecu?

i have a similar problem,i have the a3 1.8t and wanted to put in the s3 engine but was told its not possible and that i should get my engine remapped but this would be hard on the turbo in the long run.I would recommend the 1.8t ,its a great car and is a lot faster than the 1.6

Definately have to agree with Badger....trade in the 1.6 for a 1.8T version...probably cheaper and a damn sight easier!
