Default A3 1.8T alloys...

Hello all

First post and was wondering whether anyone could help.
I have a 2002 1.8T Audi A3...

Now i currently have the stock 16" alloys..
Thinking of getting some replica alloys, maybe RS6/4..

Could someone tell me whether these will look any good? By good i mean will there be too much of a gap between the wheel arch and tyre? I'm hoping i won't need to lower but was wondering if anyone could shed some light..

I know they will fit, just wanted that complete look (as opposed to the awkward look i.e big wheels on a car that sits too high)..

Thanks and regards

Lovely car matey..Thats exactly the effect i'm after..

Has yours been lowered at all?
Are they replicas? I suppose that shouldn't make any difference..
Is your a quattro? If so, is the quattro lower than the standard 1.8T?

Thanks again

No mate its not been lowered at all! Not sure if theyre replicas as they came brand new when i purchased the car, the stock ones were a bit kerbed! yeah its the Quattro version but i think the suspension setup is exactly the same! Nice to hear you like the car!

Well i took the plunge and bought some replica 18" RS6 alloys..
Car sits nicely and no need to lower..

Managed to get a set of brand new alloys (from roachford tyres) for £195 + £25 delivery (they were marked as ex display but totally mint - never had tyres on them!)

Then got a set of 235/40/18 rubbers from a part worn place i know..All have 6-7ml thread left and all Dunlop Sport max tyres...Paid £45 per tyre!

All in all the whole job costing - £400 fitted!

Result, considering Roachford were offering me tyres for £240 which would have been a budget brand.
